What Index8 is, and is not

Index8 is an operating intelligence platform: it watches your market and your business context, investigates what changed, and briefs you with sourced conclusions and recommended actions across growth, operations, trust, and risk. Index8 detects, analyzes, and drafts; you decide and execute. It never acts on your business, your accounts, or your money.

Index8 is not a law firm, an accounting or tax advisor, an insurance advisor, a licensed financial advisor, a certification body, or a managed service provider. Nothing in the product is legal, tax, insurance, investment, or other professional advice, and important decisions of those kinds should be reviewed with the qualified professionals you trust.

Your account and workspace

You need an account to use the workspace, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for the people you invite. The workspace owner controls billing, integrations, member roles, and sharing. You must be authorized to act for the business you register.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the schedule you choose at checkout. You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; paid time runs to the end of the current period. Prices for new subscriptions can change; an active subscription keeps its rate while it remains active, and Founding rates remain in place for as long as the subscription stays active. Index8 never sees or stores your card details.

Your content

Your workspace content belongs to you: your profile, the context you share, your decisions, and your conversations. You give Index8 permission to store and process it solely to operate the product for you, including sending it to the model provider described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having the right to add what you add, and for not storing material we ask you to keep out (regulated identifiers, card numbers, credentials, personal details about individuals).

Signals, insights, and recommendations

The intelligence Index8 produces is built from public sources and the context available to the product, and every conclusion shown to you carries its sources, its confidence, and the assumptions it rests on. A label such as "verified" describes how a specific claim was supported against its own cited evidence at a point in time; it is not a certification of your business or a promise about outcomes. Recommendations are drafts for your judgment: review them, adapt them, and make the call yourself. Public sources can be wrong or go stale, and confidence levels exist so you can weigh that.

Acceptable use

Do not use Index8 to break the law, to research individuals rather than businesses and markets, to misrepresent Index8's output as a third-party endorsement, to resell access without an agreement, to probe or overload the service, or to attempt to manipulate the intelligence engine. We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform, and we will tell you why.

Disclaimers and limits

Index8 is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the same extent, Index8's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, and neither side is liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Index8 and delete your data at any time (see the privacy policy for how). We can end or suspend service for material breach of these terms, with notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content rights, disclaimers, limits) survive termination.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date above and note the change on this page before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Index8 is organized. Questions go to support@index8.app.
